Global Warming 1: Why did God create the dinosaurs?
-
Illustrative humor about why God created dinosaurs
-
Why would God care about cars enough to facilitate their exponential availability in light of pollution and global warming?
“Why did God create, and then take away dinosaurs?â€
A habit of mine is to look in fun places for evidence of God’s love for us. If one accepts that the purpose behind the Creation of the earth was to create a habitation for the mortal estate of mankind, and that God does nothing in an “arbitrary†way, then it may be possible to assume that dinosaurs serve mankind some divinely appointed way.  Let me explain with a bit of humor.
(Fictional humor intended to make a point – not to be taken literally, as certainly God does not operate like this!)

On the fifth-day, when God created animal life, he sent some servants to the earth and put them in charge of creating large animals. They reported that they had done so, and had photos of sharks, whales, a stegosaurus, etc. as evidence.
God, pleased with their works, but apparently having been misunderstood, commanded that they return and create “even bigger†animals. They graciously complied and returned with photos of a triceratops, and a T-Rex.
When God told them that these were both fine, but still not large enough, they replied “Not to pry, be we do not understand why you insist on such large animals. They will surely consume great shares of your beautiful tropical forests and animal life?â€
God responded, “Yes, it is true, but haven’t you reviewed the videos of the future and seen the size of those SUV’s? They don’t run on water you know!†So they returned again and perfected “the brontosaurus!â€

Seriously, when perhaps more than 10% of His entire mortal family of the last 6,000+ years is alive now or lived during the age of motorized travel, it seems reasonable that God intentionally placed vast quantities of “fossil fuel†in the earth, perhaps taking millions of years to create, precisely for this short span in earth’s history.

Or, maybe they were created to help build those big Mayan temples
I don’t believe the whole “millions of years” theories. Thousands, perhaps. Millions, no.

They needed an earth to dwell on too. Let’s just be glad that we didn’t have to share it with them! Crunch.
Fossil fuels don’t come from dinosaurs by the way, it’s an old myth.

Thanks Jeremy. I just wanted to take advantage of the myth. I suppose it’s partly true. I’m no geologist, but I suppose most oil comes from plants in swamps.
I still think oil was intentionally placed here. We don’t need to over-consume it, but we shouldn’t be leery of using it until we can invent a better means.

I feel that God created dinosaurs, then after millions of years, he destroyed them because of their nature thanks to Lucifer. God gave him a lot of powers and one of those were to create. Lucifer created the dragons like himself. When God destroyed them and made Adam and Eve, Lucifer wanted to take over God’s Kingdom and be God. After many attempts he failed. After the war, he was kicked out of heaven and sent to Earth were he was the ruler because God gave it to him.
When God recreated the Earth, Satan was on earth in the darkness. I also feel that when God killed the dinos, Satan was turned to the monster that he is because of the way he acted and the love for them.
Lucifer wanted to get even with God by destroying his creation like God destroyed his.

You people are crazy. Pull your heads out of your collective celestial behinds and join the real world. May science continue to dismantle your faith with each passing day. LatterDayLogic. The word logic has no place on this website, nor should it be remotely associated with the mormons.

Dear John… Sorry you’re too blind to see that the fullness of science is a lot larger than what anyone on this planet currently understands. It takes faith to believe that revalation of that science is factual, in spite of the fact that there is much about science that mankind will simply never know until we’re on the other side.
Good luck to you anyway as you grope in the dark turning over meaningless rocks. Hopefully something will eventually help you see that Logic and the true gospel are virtually synonyms.
